Mims is best known as one of
the closet villages to the Kennedy Space Center, in fact we are only a short
drive from the launch pads which took many astronauts into space and
trips on the moon. Orlando is 45 minutes from the Inn and Daytona Beach
40 Miles.
Where else can we go? If you are
interested in Wild Life then, we suggest a trip to Merritt Island
National Wildlife Refuge. I’m sure you will see many unusual birds
and if you look carefully a gator or two may swim you by. Where there
are wet lands, there are air boat rides, kayaking and boat trips for
you to enjoy or maybe a day at the un spoilt Playalinda beach. Why not
arrange a day fishing, horseback riding, a sky dive or golf, then round
it off at one of our famous restaurants. Just let us know…….we can
arrange anything you want, you need only to ask.
For the Biker fanatics, (we are bikers)
Daytona is only 40 miles away…….bike week, Biketoberfest,
The Dickens Inn is the place to stay. Check out our weekend and midweek
specials. Why not come stay for Christmas or the New Year, Thanksgiving
or Bike week at Daytona.
There are many
more local activities in the area: Airboat Tours, Space Coast Nature
Tours, Horse Riding, Surfing, Suba Diving, & Fishing. Or if
you want to relax and do nothing that is OK with us.........just sit
back on the patio and read a romantic book.
Orlando and all
it's special attractions are less than an hour away but come relax and
spend the night at the Inn, soaking in the Hot Tub with a glass of wine
under the stars, then retire to you private room to plan the next day
and a comfortable nights sleep.
